Zend, in collaboration with IBM, Microsoft, Rackspace, and others, has launched the Simple Cloud API project. This open-source initiative provides developers with a single, standardized interface to work with various cloud services like file storage (Azure Blobs, Amazon S3), document storage, and queues, abstracting vendor-specific details while focusing on core functionality.
