This article provides three quick CSS techniques to enhance website usability: making buttons appear pressed when clicked using :active pseudo-class, implementing smooth color transitions with CSS transitions (primarily WebKit), and adding Unicode dingbats to buttons to better indicate their functionality. These are presented as easy-to-implement enhancements that improve user experience.
